Assessment Task (3 Units):
Unit 10 -12 Piggybacking off of the Urban Environment unit in the previous year, students will implement principles learned in “Changing Space” and “Global Interaction at the Local Level” to design a sustainable city of the future addressing geographic and sociological concerns as well as patterns in environmental sustainablity locally within China. Students will keep track of their progress as well as reflect on the city they developed on their blog. The final result should be a comprehensive blueprint and business model for a sustainable city.
